amusement park Restaurant, Bosteri, Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan, 2018

To be honest, I didn't have a childhood filled with amusement. But I remember the thrill of the summer's state fair, the adrenaline rush of rollercoaster loops on vacation.
I am primed to be sentimental.  Give me the tropes of childhood joy at playgrounds and fairgrounds, and I will feel at one with you.
If there is an international language of joy, playgrounds and amusement parks are it.  Regardless of country, regardless of station, regardless of religious or political belief.
